Advanced Cardiac Life Support - Certification
This course provides nurses and other clinicians involved in the care of critically ill patients with the basic knowledge of drug regimes and treatment modalities in life-threatening scenarios such as airway emergencies, cardiac arrest, unstable ventricular tachycardia and other cardiac and pulmonary emergencies. Participants will complete a variety of teaching and testing stations, as well as complete a written test and a supervised clinical simulation of roles in an arrest situation. Basic knowledge of cardiac rhythms and their treatment modalities is a pre-requisite for this course. Attendance is required at all sessions.
